Limitations

A paper with

both count equally.


4. Recent h-index

4.1. Definition

Google Scholar also shows metrics calculated only for recent years (typically the last 5 years). This helps evaluate current research performance.

Although the researcher has an overall h-index of 30, twelve papers published recently are already receiving significant citations.
