ईरान ने इजरायल पर शनिवार रात ड्रोन, क्रूज मिलाइल और बैलिस्टिक मिसाइलों से भयंकर हमला किया है. इस हमले के बाद से मध्‍य-पूर्व में तनाव फ़ैल गया है. ईरान और इजराइल के बीच युद्ध तेज होने की आशंका से पूरी दुनिया डरी हुई है. कई महीने चले रूस-यूक्रेन और इजराइल-गाजा युद्ध के बाद अब अगर एक और जंग होती है, तो उसे किसी भी लिहाज से वैश्विक अर्थव्‍यवस्‍था के लिए अच्‍छा नहीं माना जा सकता. ईरान और इजरायल युद्ध की आंच भारत पर भी होगी. अगर दोनों देशों के बीच जंग छिड़ती है तो इससे शेयर बाजार पर नकारात्‍मक असर होने की आशंका है.

ईरान-इजरायल के बीच युद्ध की आशंका से ही कच्चे तेल के दाम 6 महीने के सर्वोच्च स्तर पर पहुंच चुके हैं. 12 अप्रैल को ही कच्चे तेल के दाम में 1% की तेजी देखने को मिली. शुक्रवार को ब्रेंट क्रूड का भाव 90.45 डॉलर प्रति बैरल पर पहुंच चुका है. वहीं, अमेरिकी West Texas Intermediate (WTI) क्रूड ऑयल 85.66 डॉलर प्रति बैरल के स्तर पर है. एनालिस्टों का अनुमान है कि अगर यह युद्ध बड़ा रूप लेता है तो ब्रेंट क्रूड ऑयल का भाव 100 डॉलर प्रति बैरल के पार जा सकता है. भारत अपनी खपत का ज्‍यादातर कच्‍चा तेल आयात करता है. इसलिए कच्‍चे तेल के दाम बढना भारत के लिए किसी लिहाज से अच्छा नहीं है.

भारत के दोनों ही देशों से कारोबारी संबंध है. ईरान और इजरायल के साथ पिछले साल भारत ने करीब 1.1 लाख करोड़ रुपये का कारोबार किया था (स्रोत : गूगल एवं राष्ट्रिय समाचार पत्र). ईरान के साथ भारत ने 20800 करोड़ का कारोबार किया. भारत मुख्‍यत: ईरान को चाय, कॉफी, बासमती चावल और चीनी का निर्यात करता है (स्रोत : गूगल एवं राष्ट्रिय समाचार पत्र, INVESTOPEDIA). भारत से ईरान को पिछले साल 15300 करोड़ रुपये का निर्यात किया गया था. वहीं, ईरान से भारत ने पेट्रोलियम कोक, मेवे और कुछ अन्‍य चीजें आयात की. इनका मूल्‍य 5500 करोड रुपये था. भारत चाबहार पोर्ट और इससे लगे चाबहार स्‍पेशल इंडस्ट्रियल जाने में भी सांझेदार है. साल 2023 में भारत का इजरायल के साथ 89 हजार करोड रुपये का कारोबार रहा. भारत ने ईरान को 70 हजार करोड रुपये का माल और सेवाओं का निर्यात किया.

ईरान-इजरायल युद्ध से अगर स्ट्रेट ऑफ होर्मुज जोकि होर्मुज जलडमरूमध्य (Strait of Hormuz) भी बोलै जाता है, का रास्ता भी प्रभावित होता है तो भारत को काफी नुकसान होगा. पश्चिम एशिया की एक प्रमुख जलसन्धि है जो ईरान के दक्षिण में फ़ारस की खाड़ी को ओमान की खाड़ी से अलग करता है। इसके दक्षिण में संयुक्त अरब अमीरात और ओमान का मुसन्दम नामक बहिक्षेत्र हैं। तेल के निर्यात की दृष्टि से यह जलडमरु बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है क्योंकि इराक़, क़तर तथा ईरान जैसे देशों का तेल निर्यात यहीं से होता है। अपने सबसे कम चौड़े स्थान पर इसके दोनों तटों में ३९ किलोमीटर की दूरी है। यह ईरान देश को ओमान देश से अलग करती है। कच्चे तेल के लिए स्ट्रेट ऑफ होर्मुज एक अहम रूट है.
